i has crumb coated and chilled the cake and then went to even out this layer a bit more (cut the edges with a knife and smooth over the top) before applying my next layer of BC.
However the icing was dragging under the scraper. This has happened before with ABC does anyone know why? I will attach an image for reference. In the end I heated a palette knife which sorted it out but it wasn’t as flat as I would like in the end
It probably was not set quite firm enough for the amount of pressure applied by the scraper. Have you tried the Viva paper towel method for smoothing the top instead of using a scraper? It works well if the icing is crusted.
