So I am wondering how do you get a picture on a cake or print something off and stick it to the cake? Do you need a cake printer and do you use sugar sheets? I have not looked into it much.   Can you use a regular printer with sugar sheets? Thnx!

First, no you cannot use a regular printer because the ink is not edible.  There are places where you can order edible prints.  If you local grocery store or Walmart have a deli which sells cakes, they probably have an edible printer and would print whatever you need for you.  Our Walmart charges the same as they would for any cake topper they offer.  Very reasonable.  The image can be printed on either sugar sheets or wafer paper.

If you are artistic, you can also paint your image directly onto the cake, if it is covered in fondant, or on fondant and add it to the cake.  I am lucky to be able to draw, so that is what I do.
