I need to make a cake with a beer bottle on top.  It can be empty or full but has to be a certain brand.  They want a real bottle, not one made of cake.  It is going on a sheet cake but I'm not sure how to put it one the cake.  I'm afraid an empty bottle won't hold with icing and will roll off.

A full bottle might be too heavy.  My question is, how would  you put the bottle on the cake without going through too much.

I am enclosing a picture of the example of the cake they sent me, it will be a real beer bottle and not one made of cake as in the picture.

Thanks for your help!

If you want to use a full beer bottle, insert straws into the cake to support it, just like you would if you were adding a second tier.  If you to use an empty, supports should not be necessary.  I would scoop out a shallow trough to cradle the bottle and put soft icing underneath it to glue it to the cake.
