Please Help Quick!!!

I am doing a 3 tier using the Grecian pillar set I just got in the mail. This is my first tiered cake and I am not so sure about the pegs that came with the set. Do I still need to dowel the cakes or will the pegs be enough. The cake sizes are 8,10, and 12. Please help.....

I only use dowels. but others do use just the pegs

you need the dowels, the pegs are to help keep the plate in place
