I just gt a request for strawberry shortcake cupcakes -----can this be done? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It's for a cupcake tower for a bridal shower. It's the brides favorite so the Mom wants to try to include it somehow. TIA

maybe you could do a shortcake or pound cake cupcake and inject a strawberry filling and top with whipped cream?

I've taken the Sour Cream White cake and hollowed out a portion with the cake stand cutter and filled with whipped cream that has chopped strawberries folded in. If you are worried that the will be sitting out too long for whipped cream use Pastry Pride with a bit of strawberry preserves mixed in. I save the part I core out of the cake and cut a small piece to cover the whole. If that doesn't make sense let me know.

How about a simple cupcake, with butter cream, fine red spinkles and a fanned open strawberry on the top center of each cupcake. Simple and would fit in with the theme.
Good Luck, let us know what you come up with icon_smile.gif

I like the blended in strawberry idea too.
