Hi well done! Just wanted to add my best yellow cake recipe which is a Standard classic in the Uk and the one we usually use.
so based on 4 eggs: weigh eggs with shell - whatever the weight, you use the same for flour/butter/sugar. extras you will need are 4T whole milk, 1t vanilla, 1t baking powder.
use creaming method. This is light and fluffy and flavourful.
Only note we use self-raising flour in the Uk not all purpose/cake flour although cake flour probably be good sub.
