I like to use a combination of Vanilla, butter and almond extracts in my icing.

Where can you get the flavoring, I have never heard of it. And what does it taste like? Thanks Keli

I haven't figured out what it tastes like yet. I personally don't care for it. But I have read and heard that a lot of people do like it. My local cake supply store lady talked me into it saying how good everyone says it is.

Make sure you shake it before using it.

It tastes mainly lemony to me. It is good if that's the taste you are going for.

I think Creme Bouguet tastes citrusy also! I just looked it up in my Sweet Celebrations catalog (pg. 106) and it describes it as "a mysterious blend of lemon, vanilla, and other tantalizing flavors. It's irresistible in icings, sweet breads, and candies. " It sells for $2.40 in a 2 oz. bottle and $7.20 in an 8 oz. bottle. You can read Sweet Celebrations by phone, 1-800-328-6722 email: [email protected] or internet www.sweetc.com.

I have tried the cream bouquet and thought it was ok. However...I find the best combination is mexican vanilla, butter, and a little almond.

My husband & I have decided that it both tastes & smells exactly like my lemon icebox pie!! The pie is nothing but sweetened condensed milk & fresh squeezed lemon juice in a nilla wafer crust. It's creamy-lemony goodness, & to us, that's just what creme bouquet is like. But personally, I don't think it goes with every cake/filling combo. Plus, if you use too much it's overpowering, I think...so a little goes a long way.
