I need a wedding cake for my wedding reception, which has a luau theme. Any ideas for decorating?

I love the look of a cake with some hibiscus flowers either cascading or just randomly placed so that they look like they've just blown across the cake!! Anything with hibiscus flowers looks pretty luau-ish to me!

The gallery has a lot of Hawaiian Themed cakes. You can either go to the Ocean category or you can type in the search bar: hawaii, hawaiian, tropical, beach, ocean, luau, hula - etc. You will see tons of great ideas.

I had a Hawaiian themed reception back home after our Maui wedding and these are a few of the cakes we had for that and one from the bridal shower. Enjoy!

I just went to a wedding in paradise cove... I would go with something plain with Habiscus (I Live in Hawaii and can't spell) or Plumeria flowers all over... Very pretty and simple!

This is a cake I have done a couple of times and is a favorite for hawaiian or beach themed weddings. The shells are made out of chocolate. I made the molds myself out of silicone.

I would consider using purple flowers, orchids, and string pearls for a classy touch. If they want soemthing more crazy you could do a beach theme cake with seashells in white chocolate, brown sugar for sand, flowers and some palm trees. have fun!

I did this Hawaiian themed cake a couple of months ago. The shells are white chocolate.
