Hi!  I have a problem with my vanilla sponge cake. It's alwayss have a small black dots next day. I always store it in an airtight container and put it in the fridge. I'm using a bainmarie method while baking it,  and using oil as one of the ingredients. I tried to bake it without bainmarie but it turns out very dry and flat. Please i really need help im so stressed right now.

If the black dots are mold... I can't imagine what is going on in less than a day...

If you used real vanilla bean seeds, maybe they are showing up?  but if not, then I am not sure...

Maybe someone else will see this and can help...

Do your pans have tiny spots of rust?  I am clueless.
