Applying Silver Leaf On Smbc

Here there!  Any tips on applying silver leaf on a cake covered with SMBC?

Once covered can I place back into the fridge?  Not sure if any condensation would affect the silver.

I am sorry, I've never used it.  Common sense tells me that the silver leaf would not be affected by being in the fridge, but I do not have experience with it.
