I hope this isn't a dumb question. I've heard of mixing it with a little vodka . I have to do a Harley Davidson symbol on a cake and I thought it would be neat to paint it with luster dust to make it look like chrome. I just wondered how it would change the taste of the cake. Anyone know?

The dust has no taste. If you use a clear alcohol to paint it on that has no taste either but if you use lemon or vanilla you may be able to taste this

Yes lemon has a yucky taste.If you do use lemon extract...use a brand that is more clear than yellow as the yellow coloring tends to bleed through the finished pieces since it is an oil. Learned the hard way!!!
