I have this pic and can’t work our how they’ve created the splash? It looks like glass? 

Any idea? Splash Help

yeah looks like boiled sugar — it will burn the h out of you — you can melt jolly rancher hard sugar candies and make that — is not as easy to accidentally get burned — could be isomalt but that can cause miserable gastric distress — but otherwise lookie here:

Your lorann link is perfect, -K8.  Definitely hard candy (sugar) or isomalt.  Isomalt maybe a bit easier, but who would pass up yummy homemade hard candy?!  I love it flavored with cloves!

You could probably melt down some blue raspberry jolly ranchers and then pour into the shapes you need.

yes and with jolly ranchers you are not as likely to get burned — just form some aluminum foil into a little tray to hold the candy and into a 325 or 350 oven for a few 

wear gloves! check the lorann link for how to handle/form it
