I have a wedding cake in two weeks.  I have always done SMBC for weddings...the weather has been terribly hot and humid.  That said, does anyone have a combination recipe using SMBC along with American buttercream to help stabilize the SMBC?  Any ideas are much appreciated.  Thanks

I would use ganache.
