I've been asked to do a stacked wedding cake for 150 people...how many layers would I need to do, and what sizes? Of course the top tier needs to be for the bride and groom to keep. Is there a rule about stacking cakes...as in what size pans to use, etc.?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Check out this link about stacking cakes, very informative:

And this one has info on servings per 2-layer cake, to help you calculate what size cakes you want:
