I have been taking the Wilton Basic Buttercream class and my final class in next week. I am trying to get some ideas of a simple cake that I can make for my " final cake" I am interested in a beach/tropical theme. I am fairly good at icing and transferring, but definitely need some work on making flowers. I would like to incorporate Hawaiian flowers on my cake. Does anyone have any advice on how to make these kind of flowers? Any good videos or books to check out before I begin? Thanks in advance.
Hmmm...i use a 124 rose tip (you can go smaller or larger, though)
If you look up Liz Larson’s buttercream hibiscus video on YouTube it might be helpful. I do mine in a similar manner but probably not as well :)
Plumeria are also super easy to do with a smaller rose tip.
good luck - take pics!!!
