How do you like the buttercream painting with a palette knife?? It's  different and I want to try it on BC. I like the way it looks, not perfect, kinda rustic looking.

Have any of you done this??

I think they're gorgeous! I've seen so many variations, but I haven't tried it....yet.

The old  Bill Alexander / Bob Ross painting style. "It's your world". "Whatever makes you happy, you put in your world."

wonderful painters are painting beautiful cakes. smile

Oh yes, I love them so much!  Betty, I think they are all buttercream.  I haven't tried it, but plan to.  Unfortunately, when I've tried painting with a palet knife (with oils on canvas), I was pretty much a failure....sort of like piping.

I love this style!! It's very liberating - you can do anything you like!!

Feel free to have a look at my Instagram page, there's several pics scattered throughout of this sort of thing. I'm @thisdarkcherry on Insta.  No, not fishing for likes or followers - pure laziness, can't be bothered finding the various photos to post here  :)  :)  :)

Here’s a buttercream pallet painted cake I made for my birthday last year. Was fun to do.
