So - thanks those that replied to my first 2 threads all of the same topic.... here's hoping it can stay on this one now!
I did a simple block diagram to see what the suggested cake sizes would look like visually, and have I think talked myself out of that idea.
I have had a rethink to 5 tiers and all round cakes of a slightly different tier arrangement which personally I think looks better on the eye.
It is now 3 stacked fruit cakes, pillars (or something to be decided - open to suggestions)
then 2 pillared cakes on top.
Do you think this would work?
I have hopefully managed to include a link to it in my gallery or actually inserted a picture.

you will be just under 200 servings with the new configuration about 192 give or take a few -- if you increase the top two tiers to an 8x6 you're at 208 servings
