Are there any other options besides fondant to cover your cakeboard? I dont use fondant. My cake will be buttercream.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thank you

You can use anything that is food safe, like the foil that Wilton sells.  I frequently use wrapping paper, which is not food safe, covered with a thickness of plastic wrap.  Works great.  Just choose something that compliments your design.

Some buttercream finishes work too. Like the beach sand/ cookie crumb thing, waves, sugar sprinkles etc. Fondant gives a nice smooth finish, but some buttercream effects work too.

Covering Cake Boards

The Wilton paper for lining cake boards works fine for a lot of cakes.

I've used dozens and dozens of rolls over the years.
