I have a client that wants a cake similar to this with the gold sugar sprinkes (I presume) on the top tier and cupcakes with this. Is it feasible to decorate frosting with the sugar sprinkles to get an overrall gold frosting effect? Or would it be easier to paint with luster dust? Any suggestions? TIA!
either way -- if you use the sugar crystals it will be crunchy to eat it -- to me sugar crystals are easier to apply -- you just smash the fresh icing into the bowl of sugar or press the cupcake into a handful or them -- the painting means you gotta mix paint and brush it all on -- neither one is difficult -- but there is a bit of a learning curse to the painting --
oh but spray paint would be muy easy too
If you dont have a airbrush Wilton spray colormist in the gold color might be the easiest.
