So I'm looking at making a chocolate honey cake that's probably gonna have peanut butter icing. Problem is, I'm a little worried the other flavors are going to drown out the honey too much. Is there any way I can promote the honey flavor a bit more and achieve a perfect balance overall?

the cake will taste great but I agree the chocolate alone will drown out the honey flavor -- you need to do a vanilla flavor white or yellow cake for the honey flavor to dominate if it ever does -- usually the honey just sweetens and sends the cake a certain direction but not really the ultimate flavor -- know what I mean

I agree with -K8memphis, honey will lose to chocolate every time.
