Has anyone used the Alpine shortening for icing recently? It was all  I could do to scoop it out of the 50# box and had to add hot water to make icing. Sample cakes are now in cooler so we'll see what happens in morning.

I've never used Alpine shortening, but I am sorely grieving the loss of transfats in Sweetex.

The icing was so stiff it was perfect for using the Russian tulip tip. It is so hard to clean up after that I just threw the disposable bags away and felt like throwing the tips away.LOL
