I’m currently working on starting a cake business and am looking for the best way to price a cake. I’ve looked at a few formulas and calculators for cake prices etc. But none of them I really like. Please recommend your favourite way of pricing a cake. All suggestions welcome. Thank you.
I am a hobby baker and sell very few cakes, so am not concerned with overhead, etc. If a cake is very simple and easy to make, I charge $4 per serving, if it is more elaborate, I charge $5 or $6 per serving with add ons for sugar flowers or models.
