Hello, its me again. I had a request for a cake, but there is an egg allergy. What can I substitute for eggs and still have my cake not fall apart?
what flavor? I am vegan and have a great chocolate cake recipe that uses no eggs, and a white cake recipe (that can be adapted to coconut, lemon or strawberry and probably more) that calls for VeganEgg egg substitute. My local stores don't carry it anymore, but amazon has it and delivers quickly. I can pm you recipes if interested.
I love this chocolate cake recipe, and have made it many times. It makes 2 nice level full 8" cakes. I think it is as good as any made with eggs. I do not use the frosting recipe, so I cannot judge that. I replaced 2 Tbsp of the almond milk with 1 Tbsp espresso powder dissolved in 2 Tbsp hot water, then cooled. I I hope it works for you.
