Think I have made a massive mistake. Made a Christmas cake several weeks ago. Today I iced it with Royal icing ready for Christmas. I have read one or two sites which say egg white based icing only keeps for a week. Any advice appreciated......or will I have to eat it all before Christmas

no, you're ok -- "lasts for a week in order to possibly use again" but once set it lasts forever -- you're good
