Does this look like a disco ball to y'all? I know it isnt 3D but maybe reminescent of one? The theme is disco for a new years party and the colors are silver and gold. Any advice is appreciated :)Opinions Please :)

I would probably use an edible spray and spray it silver. Disco ball did not jump out at me right away.

I think what says disco ball to me is the little flat squares of mirror all over it. I would dry gray fondant squares (small ones, like 1/2" by 1/2"), apply to the ball, and then spray or color it metallic.

That's what I was thinking,the squares but I have to make 700 of them

Since it is a disco themed party, I am sure everyone would get the idea, but johnson60fus' suggestion is brilliant and spot on!  Worth the effort!

If you could find a texture mat in the shape you want, that would make it much easier!
