Beer Pouring Made Of Isomalt/ Beer Can Made Of Fondant

This is my attempt with it. I melted and colored the Isomalt. I used a coat hanger taped to the bottom of the board through the cake. As the Isomalt was cooling, which is pretty quick, I spooned it on the top of the metal and let it run down. I washed out a beer can and just used that. Hope this helps

I am happy you answered the question, JanJess because I was wondering if that was how it was done. I have not yet used Isomalt, but do have some. The real can is used on every cake I've ever seen of this type. I made one with pouring M & M's and I used the real empty bag.
Go for it. I would not touch it with a ten foot pole.
The only way I would make the can would be with Styrofoam so that it is light and can easily be attached to the dowel/structure securely. But, yeah, I would probably just use a cleaned out beer can.
