Hello everyone!

I’ve been asked for a multi flavor multi tier cake

the one tier has to be pink champagne, they also like hazelnut. (This sounds like a gross combination to me but perhaps the client is always right?)

does anyone have suggestions for a flavor for another cake that goes with pink champagne? I’d love to have the icing be consistand across the cakes but will probably use a champagne butter cream on the champagne cake

thanks to all

Since the two tiers will not be eaten together, it doesn't really matter if they do not compliment each other.  How about filling the champagne cake with champagne buttercream and fill the hazelnut tier with the filling of your/their choice, then frost the whole thing with a vanilla-almond buttercream, which goes with any other flavor.

I agree with Sandra.  I wouldn't be overly concerned that the flavors compliment since they won't be eaten together.  And even if someone does want to try both flavors I don't think they will be upset that they don't "go" together.
