Has anyone carved a 3d skull cake or seen a tutorial on how to do it? I can’t work out the best way to do it. (Other than buy a skull shaped cake tin.) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you planning to do a flat, 2D skull or a 3D round skull?  If you are making it flat, you could print out a picture of a skull in the size you want the cake to be and use it as a templet to carve the cake.  If you want to do it 3D, you could start with a ball cake and carve the cheeks and eye sockets.

Hi Sandra. I’m doing a 3d skull. I am borrowing a fake skull from a friend so that should help.

I agree that it will help enormously!  I almost suggested purchasing one from Walmart or Michaels, as there are a lot of them available right now, lol.  Good luck!
