I need help determining the number of 8mm pearls needed to place 2” apart in 4 rows on a 5 tiered wedding cake. The tiers are 14”,12”,10”8”6”.  I purchased a 2lb bag that contains 223 pearls. I’m afraid to start placing them if I don’t have enough to finish. They’re has to be a formula to figure this out. Thank you in advance!

88 for the 14", 76 for the 12", 64 for 10", 52 for 8", 40 for 6".  320 total.  Take the size pan times pi (3.14) to find the circumference.  Divide by 2 (inches).  Round up to the whole number.  That's one row's worth of pearls.  Multiply that by 4.  That's one tier.  Do that for all 5 tiers and add them together.
