I am planning on buying some acrylics 6.25’, 8.25’, and 10.25. For speeds stake. Rounds and squares. I would prefer them with hole in the center so I can line them up perfectly but it’s not a must. Any suggestions? Has anyone compare pricing on sets like this with shipping included? I am aware of cakesafe is there a better deal? I’m in the U.S. FYI.

I have heard others say that you can have them cut at hardware stores, but I have not asked.  I do plan to, however.  I have a friend who's husband cut her's for her.  Don't know what kind of saw he used.

GIGGLEBOX2014, I am so glad you mentioned Amazon!  I had never thought of it and order a set of 8-1/2 inch that same day.  They will be here in a couple of days and I can wait to try them!

I had mine cut at a place that sells and cuts Perspex. Much cheaper than shelf price and I only got the ones I wanted. I must say though I had mine cut at 1/4 inch larger than the tin size and it is too large, I barely use mine anymore as it uses too much ganache.

When you bake your cake, it shrinks smaller than the tin so I would actually only get the circles cut ever so slightly larger than the tin sizes that you use rather than a full 1/4 inch larger as that will give you more than 1/4 inch ganache allowance once the cake shrinks..

I did intend to get another set cut but as yet haven't done so.

I totally agree on the sizing, bubs1stbirthday.  I always cut down my cake boards when frosting a cake for that very reason.  I don't like a lot of frosting.
