Does anyone have any photos of a 2 tiered cake with an 8" on the bottom and a 4" on the top? I know these 2 sizes aren't usually paired, but it matches the amount of servings that are needed. I stacked my pans together to get an idea, and it looked pretty funny, and now I'm scared to do it!
For reference, it will be a galaxy cake, so there will be planet cake pops/rice crispy balls around it, so hopefully that helps to make up for it!
Probably! I have the pans in my amazon cart just in case! I’d still love to see pictures, though, nut I guess no one has any!
Here is a picture from CC of my recent bday cake. 4” cake on a 8” dummy cake. Because of all the buttercream, 4” didn’t look out of place. If you’re adding galaxy balls around the cake, think it would work.

This isn't the best video but she does use an 8" bottom tier with a smaller top tier (she says it is 5" but I am thinking it is probably closer to 4") and even though she stacks it off center you can see the size difference between the two tiers.
I also found this picture on this site...https://www.cakecentral.com/gallery/i/1558902/snowflake-cake
Thanks guys! I’m thinking that the size diffefence is maybe a little bigger than I originally imagined. I may go ahead and buy the 5” pans, take the slight loss, and call it a lesson learned!
I’d still love to see some photos, though
