I’m making gum paste peonies for a wedding in Nov. I started today had the first layer of petals cut and shaped and ready to apply onto my styrofoam balls. Non of the petals would stick to the styrofoam?? Tried twice and they just fell off. What’s wrong?? I really wanted to get these flowers behind me  and this happened. Any ideas of what I’m doing wrong? Can’t afford to waste the gum paste. The paste I’m using is Choco-Pan not cheap! Please help!!!  Thanks in advance. Carole

I use edible glue made of Tylose and water.  Some people use fresh egg whites.  You need to really smash the bottom part of the first petals into the styrofoam to help it adhere.

I was just using water to attach the petals. So thought it through and decided I needed to do the gum paste glue to adhere those petals Success they are now sticking. Thanks for your helpful replies. I can always count on my fellow bakers to help me out with answers if any questions I might have.
