I say this cake on Pinterest and was wondering if anyone knows how to make it. I can't tell if it's a sugar sheet transfer or if the face is a gumpaste (or fondant) panel that's stuck on the side the middle tier?  Hard to tell from the photo.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Brenda

The face is most likely done on hardened gumpaste with the features hand painted. Is attached to, I'm guessing, a 3 tier fondant covered cake. Then the embellishments, like the hair, flowers and ruffle were added afterwards.

Thanks jchuck.  That’s what I was thinking too.

By the way, I meant to say “ I SAW this cake...”,not “I SAY this cake...”.  Can’t figure out how to edit from my iPad.

That's the unfortunate thing about Cake Central. You can't edit what you've written after you have posted.

I've seen this cake before and it is hand painted onto dried fondant and it looks lke the hair is done with fondant and an extruder.
