How Many Servings In A .8 - 1 Kg Cake?

Hi,
My son is staying with a host family in eastern Europe, and I found a great local bakery that will deliver a cake to them (as a thank-you gift for their hospitality). The cake is listed as weighing .8 - 1 kg. I live in the U.S., and I'm used to thinking in terms of the number of servings, not weight.
Does anybody know how many slices you would get from a typical .8 - 1 kg cake? The gift is for a family of 6, and I want to make sure that one cake is enough for everyone.
Thank you!
Hi! I hope this isn't too late for you. I'm not entirely sure myself, but I believe a 1 lb cake is supposed to serve 4 so a 1kg cake should serve about 8 to 9 (1kg =2.2lbs)
