I have a 3 tier cake that I’m terrified to travel with so I’d rather assemble on site. the top 2 tiers is a geode cake so will need to be assembled ahead of Time and stacked on site but the bottom is just marble colored fondant. Do you think it would be safe to try and stack and move a geode cake on site or do you think it will shift and too many crystals will fall out? I only have 30, MAYBE 40 minutes to set up. Wedding is in a day and a half. Here’s a pic similar to what she’s looking for.  Help?!Can I Stack A Geode Cake? Can I Stack A Geode Cake?

I have transported a three tier geode cake for over an hour with no issues (it is in my gallery).  If this makes you uncomfortable, stack your middle and top tiers, create your geode, then transport them as one unit and the bottom tier separately.  It will only take you a few minutes to set the top two tiers on the bottom tier and your crystals will remain intact with no worries.

Agree with SandraSmiley   :)

You could also just take some extra crystals with you on the off chance some do come loose and you think it necessary.
