I want to make a cake for my friends bridal shower, I've only done rosettes once and baking is really a side hobby so I want to make sure I do it right!

This is the one I did for my sister, I used cream cheese frosting which I learned the hard way is a pain in the butt. I'm definitely sloppy still so if the marshmallow frosting would be hard to work with I'd rather do something else.

I would not do a marshmallow cream if you want really defined piping.  I would use American buttercream...basically equal parts butter and powdered sugar with a little milk or cream to thin it out a bit.

Your cake is very pretty.  Cream cheese frosting is a little too soft for defined piping, but as whatthedogate said, I would not try using Marshmallow Cream.  If you are uncertain about making frosting, buy it already made in a can.  If it is a little too soft, add a little more powdered sugar.

Can You Pipe Rosettes With Marshmallow Cream Frosting?

these 'Westie' cupcakes were made with the "Hello Cupcake" vanilla marshmallow crème buttercream recipe.

It kept it's details pretty well, course I was pretty sloppy making a puppy cuppy. But it held it's shape ok.

You could do an american buttercream and use marshmallow creme in it. You would have the marshmallow taste but still have a pretty good consistency to work with.
