I have agreed to make cupcake bouquets as wedding center pieces for my mother in-laws up coming wedding. Nothing huge, about 6-8 cupcakes per flower pot. I have 11 to make plus an actual cake as well.  I have also taken on the the role of the wedding planner so I'm trying to be the most efficient with my time.  What my question is, is if I premade buttercream flowers to be able to stick on the cupcakes later on, will they still taste good?  Has anyone done this before?   Or is it better to pipe it all fresh?

Thanks!

perfectly fine -- go for it -- you have a huge role with being the planner as well as cakes -- you need all the make ahead stuff you can do -- go for it -- i say a week or so in advance -- keep loosely covered out of the sun --

and get some dedicated helpers -- train someone now to handle transporting the cakes -- how to set up -- you can come by and tweak things but you need to delegate delegate delegate -- i know how hard it is to find good help -- so two key people trained in advance to understand and implement all of your plans would be amazing for you --

hey, like maybe last minute the florist doesn't show or the forks disappeared -- you've got someone on standby who knows what you need already and can swoop over to sam's or costco and be back in a jiff -- stuff like that -- or any number of things -- designated drivers --

best to you -- cant' wait for pictures
