I am currently a hobby baker in the UK, however my friend as asked me to supply cakes for her sewing courses, around 3 every couple of weeks. 

She has asked me to quote for this, but im confused whether I need to get all relevant checks/council inspection etc if im just doing this for a friend and unlikely to turn a profit? 

Or or do I have to register as a business with the council and declare myself self employed, get insurance etc? 

Any advice?
