Cake To Look Like A Big Macaron

Hello, I've attached a picture of the cake requested, and was hoping to gain your expertise. Do you think it is 2 cakes total? One cake cut in half covered in fondant for top and bottom shells, then the other leveled into 3 layers for the middle? Maybe the inside (white frosting one) is cut around the edges to appear smaller in diameter than the other 4? Or, do you think the white is just purely buttercream? The 2 surrounding the "buttercream" appear to be dyed blue cakes if you look closely, and then swirled buttercream on the outside? If the middle is purely buttercream, would it hold up well and not squeeze out? Thanks!

I would personally bake three cakes, 2 the same size for the top and bottom and 1 smaller for the middle.
I would then carve the rounded shape, cover the bottom cake with fondant, give it a bit of time to adhere properly then flip it over and continue stacking and decorating. I would put a small layer of icing between layers then decorate as required to achieve the macaron look.
For some reason it only shows up this way lol
