So my ultimate goal is to open a legit bakery. As of right now with school and everything else going on in my life I am just going to operate under cottage food law. But I have a name and I want to register it. However this is where I am confused. I see people saying its only 50 dollars to register their name but everywhere I look its like 125! 

So basically my question is do I have to register it as a llc? A trademark? Something else? Im just a little lost.
