So I have a cake order for a client that I have made cakes for forever. She needs a graduation cake and wants it to be spectacular! Her daughter's high school mascot is a grizzly bear and she's going to a university that has a wolf mascot. My client wanted something spectacular that incorporates the two. She was even talking about morphing the two together?? I don't think that would look very good, but that was her idea. My idea so far is doing a tiered cake with a grizzly head(3d) popping out of the side- like paper being torn and then the other tier having a wolf head(3d)? Not too spectacular in my opinion, which is why i'm asking for ideas.
Thanks!!
I would do a bear claw and a wolf paw -- each on either side -- then footprints from around the bottom each coming toward the middle and joining with one wolf print and one bear print like they were walking together -- then the wolf prints take over --
I don't know if you can picture this -- but -- so picture a round cake with an ear sticking out on each side toward the top -- and a nose sticking out on the side toward the middle -- like each animal was looking through the cake and all you see is the ear nose and maybe an eye --
maybe that will spark an idea
the two paws could be shaking hands too -- or each one could be on each side of the mortar board
once the idea machine lights slowly blink on, and somebody puts in a quarter -- the gears start to churn and an eerie clacking sound gins up to a high smooth pitch as the dust poofs up suddenly and I can't stop --
just one more -- a little mortar board where the bear is holding it in it's paw and the wolf is on top making the tassel fly like a cowboy with a rope --
i'm really gonna shut up now
