This may be a dumb question ... I have just made a batter from scratch and realized after that I should have halved the recipe. Is it okay to refrigerate it while cake 1 cooks and cools. I understand that refrigerating may impact on the cake rising, but is there not a risk with the raw eggs over that time? Thanks
Sorry I didn't see your question earlier, NAvery. It will not hurt your batter to refrigerate it while the first half bakes. I know, in theory, it may loose a little bit of height, but I have not really been able to tell much difference. Maybe this will at least help in the future.
