Hello there!

I’m a new baker taking my little hobby into a little business. I’ve been having some issues with discoloration of royal icing once it’s completely dried. I’ve read some tips on here and thought I’d share one of my own. I’m not sure if is worked yet. I’m currently waiting for my cookies to dry in front of my space heater. It’s a tip I read in here to have warm air circulating around the cookies to help dry them and prevent the discolor. But I also tried two other things today.

1. I lightly greased my cookie pan with a little bit of butter as usual but this time lightly floured the pan as well as to absorb the moisture while baking.

2. While my cookies were cooling on the rack I placed paper towels on top to hopefully absorb any kind of greasy spots that may be lingering before applying my icing.

I attached photos for you to see! I hope when my cookies dry they’re one color! We will see!

Any other tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated!!
