I want to make a gravity beer mug cake has anyone done this? I'm looking for hints and tips. Making it for a grooms cake and I have to travel with it. Can I do that or should I assemble when I arrive. I/m also doing the wedding cake. and sweet table. Any hints would e greatly appreciated thanks all

I don't really know what you mean by a gravity beer mug.  Are you able to post a picture?

It’s a cake in the shape of a beer stein or mug  and a beer Can is suspended overhead with the beer

 Pouring out of it. It’s teally a dowel covered in fondant glued inside the can and inserted into the cake BC is the beer foam. So it looks like the Can is just in the air pouring beer into the mug. On utube

Oh, got ya.  I've not made a beer cake, but I did make one similar with M & M's being poured out onto the cake.  The cake had to be transported for approximately two hours and it held up fine, not a bobble.Gravity

Thanks I was just wondering if I needed to put cake boards in between the layers,it will be Appt 4/5 layers tall probably a 4 or 6 in cake

It really depends upon how large you want your serving pieces to be.  I regularly make 6" cakes without a separating cake board without experiencing problems, but it does make very large servings.  4" is the industry standard for a serving size.
