Will the powdered pigments (and a little vodka) work on modeling chocolate made from candy melts?

Also,is it necessary to put anything on between rice cereal treats and the modeling chocolate?  The treats are pretty smashed up since I bought store ones for the first time. Holy cow, never going back. I bought a huge box after Halloween and they are a million times easier than making them.

Number one - yes, you can absolutely paint on modeling chocolate with petal dusts and alcohol.  You can also use cocoa butter mixed with powdered colors.

Number two - When I am sculpting, using RKT's for my base, I cover it with melted chocolate, if it needs the stability.  It it is already very sturdy, as your hat appears to be, I put the modeling chocolate directly onto the RKT's.

Thank you!

I figured I would give straight modeling chocolate a shot and it worked perfectly. Modeling Chocolate And Luster Dust?

You did an amazing job, KarenOR!  One of the best wizard's hats I've seen and it doesn't look at all like a poop emoji, as many do!
