Does anyone have any suggestion of how to price a 3D cake? I always end up WAY undercharging. Things that look so simple end up taking longer than expected and my pay ends up being like $3 an hour. I would wait until I am done and ask for a certain amount per hour, but people need to know ahead of time what I would charge. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Pricing 3D cakes can be really hard!! Most people don't realize how much time it takes to make one. I usually tell people right off the bat that it's going to be around $100 no matter how many servings they want. If it's a really large cake I tend to charge around $3-4 per serving.

Then after I make the cake I might charge more depending on how long it took to make it. Luckily people around here know that it takes a really long time and they don't mind paying for it.
