Hello fellow cakers. I'm just coming out of a cold mask and have a bad case of medicine head. I'm looking for some ideas/guidance.  I have a client who would like a chocolate cake (birthday girl (6) likes chocolate) but the decor will be a snow scene.  The inspiration is the little girl dressed in her snow outfit basically face planted in the snow. So how on earth do I do snow, but with chocolate buttercream question TIA  bulb

You can cover cake in chocolate buttercream, and make white chocolate ganache for the “snow”. Also royal icing for snow. And if you spread out your royal icing on some wax paper/parchment paper and let it dry hard, you can crush the icing and sprinkle on the cake for effect. Colouring RI shades of blue and using by itself or crushed would be nice too. Hope this helps.
