When you have a molded border or swag that is thick and consequently heavy, do you use fondant or gumpaste?  The fresh fondant often collapses under its own weight for me, and even after a week and a half of drying, it breaks/crumbles.  Any solutions?

I use homemade LMF.  I make the molds, seal them in a ziplock bag for a day or two to set up a little and then they apply very easily. So far, I've had no issues and I've used some really large, heavy molds.Fondant Or Gumpaste?
