I’m making sugar cookies and I want to pipe marshmallow buttercream on top I’m looking for a drop sugar cookie recipe that will hold the buttercream and not break. I found one for soft sugar cookies with frosting but the frosting was a thin layer I need something to be able to hold the frosting

my sugar cookies are pretty soft, but the NFSC roll out recipe is firm enough to hold up to buttercream.

so will a chocolate chip cookie, or a peanut butter cookie.

I used Jackie’s recipe here from CC for my Valentine’s Day cookies last week. I cut the sugar by 1/3 cup and added 1/4 cup more flour, as I found dough was a bit soft. With the added icing on the cookies, you don’t notice the sugar that was removed.
