Refrigerating Cakes?

Should I be refrigerating my cakes before pick up or deliveries? I've had a cakes layers slide before and I don't know if it was because I didn't refrigerate it before they came to pick it up. I would like to know if it's best to refrigerate the cakes

I always deliver cold cakes - less chance for movement :)

I have found that it makes a huge difference to keep your cakes refrigerated until immediately prior to delivery.  Much more stable.
